This Privacy Policy explains how Wizard Skin Studio ("we", "us"), based in Austin, Texas, USA, handles information on this website, wizardskinstudio.com. It covers the website only. When our game Body Brawl launches, we will publish an updated policy describing any data the game collects.
Information we collect
- Email address — only if you submit it to receive updates. We use it solely to send you news about Body Brawl and the studio. We do not collect your name or other details to subscribe. Your address is passed to Kit (kit.com), our email service provider, which stores it and sends you a confirmation message; you are only added to the list once you click the link in that message. If you never confirm, the unconfirmed address is discarded.
- Server and usage logs — our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and approximate region, to deliver and protect the site. This is used in aggregate to operate the site, not to identify you.
How we use information
- To send the updates you asked for.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not share it with third parties except the service providers that help us run the site — currently Cloudflare (hosting, security, and email routing) and Kit (email delivery) — each bound to protect it. We add no advertising, social, or data-broker integrations.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies at all and uses no local or session storage. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track you across sites, to see aggregate page-view counts. Cloudflare may also set strictly necessary security cookies if it needs to challenge suspicious traffic.
We serve our fonts from our own domain rather than a font CDN, so loading a page on this site does not disclose your IP address to any third party other than our host.
Email and your choices
If you subscribe to updates, every email will include a one-click unsubscribe, and we will honor opt-out requests within ten (10) business days, consistent with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. Our marketing emails will identify us and include a valid physical postal address.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@wizardskinstudio.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act; residents of California, the EU/UK, and other regions may have rights under their local laws. We honor applicable requests regardless of where you live.
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@wizardskinstudio.com with "Appeal" in the subject. We will respond within sixty (60) days with our decision and the reasons for it. If we deny the appeal, Texas residents may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, Wizard Skin Studio is the data controller. Our legal basis for sending you email is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing; our legal basis for server and security logs is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site. Our processors are located in the United States. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
We keep subscriber emails until you unsubscribe or we retire the list. We use reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold; no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this policy as the studio and game evolve, and will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes affecting subscribers will be communicated by email where appropriate.
